About Bob Popyk
Bob is a naive of upstate New York and has been in sales all of his adult life. He is also a lifelong musician, playing keyboard instruments. While he no longer plays professionally, he still plays for fun. He was owner of six music stores in the 60’s and 70’s, and began his writing and speaking career in 1980.
Bob Popyk has been writing articles about sales and marketing for the retail industry since selling his music stores 30 years ago, and since then concentrated on ideas that brought a different perspective on selling in the real world. Bob’s columns appear monthly in many national trade and business publications including The Music Trades and International Musician, and he’s one of the most sought-after speakers on premium sales and marketing strategies.
He has been a keynote speaker for NAMM—International Music Products Association every year for more than 20 years. He also works with the National Marine Manufacturers Association, the National Kitchen and Bath Association, the Recreational Vehicle Dealer Association, and many other retail and wholesale groups. His clients include Buick, Kawasaki, Steinway, Yamaha, Carnival Cruise Lines, Sea Ray boats, and many other companies that he works with on a monthly basis. Bob is a frequent guest on radio and TV talk shows on the subject of personal promotion and networking.
Bob is the founder of Bentley-Hall, Inc., a New York based custom publishing, public relations, and communications company specializing in sales and marketing strategies for high-ticket retail companies and associations. He resides in Brewerton, NY, as well as Ormond Beach, FL, and still travels the country doing keynote programs and sales sessions for high-ticket retail industries.
